What I hope to achieve with Vichitra Collective

Vichitra Collective is an attempt to learn to flow with uncertainties in its very raw form. It's an attempt to exist with one's own raw nature.

However true this might be, it carries a lot of weight to it which draws me down. It's not easy. Having said that, there seems to be an infinite pool of possibilities that lies down there.

Making a living is one of the major insecurities that drives us as well as restricts us in what we do in life. I hope to build credibility through my learning journey over a period of time and establish a personal brand in the form of Vichitra Collective. Though, that's not the heart of it. I like to think that it would be a byproduct of this whole experience.

What I really hope to achieve is a genuine life long pursuit of creative expression. A pursuit that enables constant change and shedding of my old self. Documenting my process, talking about this journey, publishing different bodies of work and sharing knowledge with everyone is symbolic of my way of giving back to society.

So here's what I have been upto and what is it that I hope to achieve.

Over the past many months, I have been exploring the application of AI in building end to end software systems. This exploration ended up in identifying some of the key issues in existing AI driven software development processes and working around them to meet my end goals. This website is one of the first results of that process. I have also published a toolkit I built along the way. I hope it can help others, specially non-programmers and students, attempt building software reliably and robustly. Just to be honest and transparent, it is still a painful process. I hope to continue to streamline this process.

I have had the privilege to learn and experience photography from a very early age. I have also enjoyed the privilege of contributing towards gold standard Digital Imaging and Photography solutions for almost a decade. Photography for me has been one of most satisfying and liberating experiences in life. I hope to dig deeper to bridge the creative and technological aspects of Photography. I have been deeply influenced with the technique of merging different images to create panoramas and High Dynamic Range (HDR) images. I have shortlisted this technique of HDR merge to be the cornerstone pillar of my learnings and exploration in coming years. Over these past years, I have captured a lot of photographs which just sit on my shelf. I hope to hone the craft of storytelling through different photo essays.

Through life, I have picked up other interests, especially in Drumming, Trekking/Climbing (not much of a climber yet) and Coffee. I think I am a very DIY analog person in general. I forgot, but I always have and still use a digital camera. Basically, I like ending up in the rabbit holes of doing things all by myself. I absolutely love building things, physically. I hope to embrace this nature of mine and do more of these, consistently.

There are theories of an AI first utopian world where the need to work in itself won't exist. This experiential journey is a thought experiment of such a world. I hope to explore the possibilities of pursuing passion in such a world, leveraging AI as a native tool in all these different interests I have.
