How to navigate the Blog

The blog has three main pages: Posts, Gallery and Contact.

The blog has a few other features: search, newsletter subscription and comments.

Search allows you to search for keyword through all post titles and the tags on the post and lists all the posts where this keyword is present. I'll talk about tags in a bit. Please note that it doesn't search through post content as of now.

You can also subscribe for newsletter updates by clicking on subscribe button or mail icon on mobile. Talking about newsletter, I promise not to spam with irrelevant frequent mails, marketing or advertisements. Newsletters are strictly meant to be published once a month. The intent of newsletter is to give a concise preview of what all has happened in that month.

Subscribing also enables the comments section on individual posts.

Use this link to manage your subscription. You can unsubscribe, configure email notifications and edit account details.

Subscribing requires your name and email address. A verification link is sent to your email for authentication, no need to remember another password. If you clear your browser history, change browser or access on different device, you'd be required to follow the same process. We need this authentication for enabling comments.

Talking about the posts page, it has two main characteristics: tag categorisation and listing. Every post has certain tags associated with it. Selecting a tag filters the posts listing for that tag. This helps you view all the posts in a category. Tags are your way of surgically exploring things which might of interest.

Gallery page is a gateway to all the images I have posted as part of my photo essays. You can tap to view the images in full or use the slider at the top of the page to set the size of image previews within the gallery. Full screen images currently don't show details like image capture settings and the precise photo essay where it belongs. Coming soon.

Specific post page lists the tags associated with that specific post. Towards the bottom there could also be a 'More on this' section. If a post is part of a series, for eg. My recipes of brewing coffee, this section lists all the other published posts in that series. Right at the very end is the comments section that I mentioned earlier.
